Finola has been practicing meditation since 2008. She facilitates MBSR programmes in Dublin, usually working alongside her good friend Dr.Fiona Fallon. She has also recently facilitated Introduction to Meditation Sessions for teenagers at the Liberties Club Youth Project.
Finola completed 18 months teacher training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with the Institute of Mindfulness Based Approaches, (in conjunction with The Sanctuary) in January 2015. She continues to develop mindfulness, loving kindness and ethical practice with regular attendance at the Dublin Buddhist Centre and regular retreats.
Finola works as an engineer and urban planner in a professional office environment and is actively engaged in community and voluntary sector in Dublin. She is expecting her second child in February, and while sometimes dreaming of living the monastic life on a side of a mountain, she continues to find inspiration and opportunity for dealing with stress mindfully in her own ‘normal’ working and personal life.
